Know whether it is right or wrong to wet the brush with water before applying toothpaste

Everyone wakes up in the morning and first cleans the teeth and mouth and only then does the rest of the work, people brush to clean the teeth. Science says that teeth should be brushed for at least 2-3 minutes.

An expert says that millions of us are brushing our teeth in the wrong way. Dr. Sahil Patel, founder of the Marylebone Smile Clinic in London, says that he often sees his patients making several mistakes that can be dangerous to their oral health.

One of the biggest such mistakes is, people ‘wet’ the toothbrush before applying toothpaste on the brush. If you do, you’re doing it wrong, says Dr Sahil, ‘If your toothbrush is wet it will lather faster and you’ll be spitting out toothpaste faster.

Apart from this, brushing vigorously, brushing with floss on the interdental brush can also worsen oral health. What to do if dust gets on the brush? In such a situation, the question of many people will be that if we do not wash the brush, then how to avoid the dust that gets into it?

Experts recommend that the toothbrush comes with a cap to protect it from dust. After brushing, put that cap on the toothbrush so that it does not get dusty. Use such a brush Dr. Sahil says, ‘If the brushes are slipping on the teeth then they will not work well. If the teeth are hard, then the brush should be clean so that while cleaning between the teeth, it can also remove dirt from the corners. Where the toothbrush cannot reach, cleaning is done with floss.
