A general meeting of opposition parties was held in Bihar’s capital Patna today i.e. on Friday (June 23). On the call of CM Nitish Kumar, the Chief Ministers of many states and all the politicians of major political parties of the opposition were present in this general meeting. After the meeting, the leaders of all the parties also held a joint press conference. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar thanked all the leaders who reached Patna to attend the Maha Baithak. During this, all the leaders have announced to contest the elections together in one voice.
CM Nitish said that there has been a very good meeting and it has been agreed to walk together. After the next few days, another meeting of all the parties will be held. CM Nitish told that today it has been agreed to contest an election. All have been agreed upon. He told that the next meeting will be held by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. He said that he would hold another meeting at the earliest next month. If there is one more meeting then understand that it will take the final form. Who will fight where, everything has been agreed upon. CM Nitish said that everyone has accepted that everyone will walk together. During this, Nitish Kumar also targeted the Modi government at the Centre, he said that those who are in power now are not working in the interest of the country. He is changing all the history. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that we are all trying to come up with a common agenda to fight together. We will meet again in Shimla next time on 10th or 12th July. A common agenda to fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together will be finalized in the next meeting. We have to work differently in each state.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the meeting held in Patna was good. We have emphasized on three things – we are one, we will fight together, the next meeting will be held in Shimla. We are united, we will fight unitedly. History started from here, BJP wants history to be changed and we want history to be saved from Bihar. Our aim is to speak against this fascist government. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said that Uddhav Thackeray and we were fighting elections against each other for the last 25 years, but forgetting everything, we came together.
