A major change has been made in the syllabus of the UP Board by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. Life stories of 50 great men have been included while making changes in the syllabus from class 9th to 12th. This change has been made in the curriculum of moral education. Now the biography of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar has been included in the syllabus. Students of board examinations will now compulsorily read the biography of ‘Veer Savarkar’ in the syllabus. The new syllabus will be implemented from the month of July this year. According to the statement of the UP Government, everyone will have to read this syllabus and passing it will also be mandatory.

9th class syllabus
Class IX students will read the life stories of Lord Birsa Munda, Gautam Buddha, Jyotiba Phule, Chhatrapati Shivaji, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Vinoba Bhave, Chandrashekhar Azad, Veer Kunwar Singh, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Srinivasa Ramanujan and Jagadish Chandra Bose.
10th class syllabus
Biography and struggles of Mahatma Gandhi, Mangal Pandey, Sukhdev, Lokmanya Tilak, Roshan Singh, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Swami Vivekananda and Khudi Ram Bose will be taught in class 10th.
11th class syllabus
Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Raja Rammohan Roy, Sarojini Naidu, Nana Saheb, Ram Prasad Bismil, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Mahavir Jain, Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya, Arvind Ghosh, Maharishi Patanjali, Sushrut and now in class 11th. Biography of Homi Jehangir Bhabha will be taught.
12th class syllabus
If we talk about 12th class then Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Rabindranath Tagore, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rajguru, Ganesh Shankar Vidyarti, Maharana Pratap, Bankit Chandra Chatterjee, Guru Nanak Dev, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Adiguru Shankaracharya, Acharya Panini, Aryabhatta and biography of CV Raman has been included.
