Lion is still alive NCP leader Anil Deshmukh on Ajit Pawar’s retirement

The uncle-nephew war continues after Ajit Pawar’s uncle Sharad Pawar parted ways with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Maharashtra’s new Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar took a dig at the NCP chief, indicating that the NCP chief should now opt for retirement.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar says, “You portrayed me as a villain in front of everyone. I still have deep respect for him (Sharad Pawar). But you tell me, IAS officers retire at the age of 60. Even in politics- BJP leaders are retiring at the age of 75. You can see the example of LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. This gives the new generation a chance to move forward. You (Sharad Pawar) give us your blessings.

Sharad Pawar loyalist Anil Deshmukh on Ajit Pawar’s “retirement” comment for Sharad Pawar, says “82 year old lion is still alive”.

Defending Sharad Pawar, NCP MLA Rohit Pawar said, “When we entered politics in 2019 and contested the assembly elections, Pawar sahib was 82 years old. Most of us got elected because of him. So, I don’t think age matters much.”
