Bengal’s BJP MLA Bishnu Pad Ray passed away, won the Dhupguri seat and reached the assembly for the first time

Sad news has come for BJP from Bengal. BJP MLA from Dhupguri assembly constituency in Jalpaiguri district Bishnu Pad Ray passed away on Tuesday morning. Let us inform that Ray had come to Kolkata on Sunday evening to participate in the monsoon session of the Vidhansabha which began on Monday. But he had to be taken to the hospital on Sunday night after complaining of chest pain.

In a condolence message released on his official Twitter handle, Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly Suvendu Adhikari wrote, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the sad and untimely demise of my colleague and MLA from Dhupguri.” Ray was admitted to PG Hospital day before yesterday due to heart ailment. Tell that for the first time MLA was made MLA Bishnu Pad Ray was also the first elected BJP MLA from Dhupguri assembly constituency. In 2021, he was elected by defeating Trinamool Congress candidate Mithali Roy.
