Big relief to AAP leader Satyendar Jain, Supreme Court granted interim bail till July 24

The Supreme Court on Monday extended the interim bail of Satyendar Jain, former minister in the Delhi government and AAP leader, till July 24. Please inform that ED had arrested Satyendar Jain in the money laundering case. After which he was lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. He came out of jail after getting bail. The Supreme Court had ordered that on July 10, Satyendar Jain should present the documents related to his health in the court. In this episode, former Health Minister of Delhi Satyendar Jain has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has extended his bail plea till July 24. Earlier, he was granted bail for 6 weeks on medical grounds. A bench of justices AS Bopanna and MM Sundaresh, while hearing the bail plea, granted interim bail for two weeks. Taking the side of Satyendra Jain, Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that 3 hospitals have suggested Jain to undergo surgery. Please tell that Satyendar Jain was lodged in Tihar Jail and he got hurt due to falling in the bathroom. After which he was first admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital. Due to deteriorating health, he was admitted to Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. He was put on oxygen support.
The next hearing of Satyendar Jain’s bail case will be on July 24. Till then Satyendar Jain will remain on bail. Satyendra Jain’s bail is ending on July 11.

What is the case against Satyendar Jain?

On 24 August 2017, the CBI filed a charge sheet against Satyendar Jain in the money laundering case. The JCBI had registered an FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Satyendra Jain got regular bail in 2019 but on 31 May 2022 he was arrested by ED.
