Calcutta HC angry over violence, seeks answers from commission and government

The Calcutta High Court has expressed displeasure over the ongoing violence during the Bengal Panchayat elections. The High Court said that there has been an allegation of irregularities in the Panchayat elections. Along with demanding an apology from the state elections, said that the answers received are not enough. The state government is not able to provide security to the citizens. The High Court said that the result of the election would depend on further orders. Explain that a division bench of Calcutta High Court Chief Justice TS Shivagnanam and Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharya said in the hearing of the panchayat case on Wednesday. The High Court ordered that the litigants will have to give all the information in the court by Thursday. BJP leader accused the police

The petitioner demanded re-election

Petitioner Shamik Bagchi has demanded re-election from the High Court. He said that violence and unrest are going on in many places, schools are being damaged by bombings. Along with this, he requested for compensation. On the other hand, the Election Commissioner said that the responsibility of who will shoot where cannot be taken.
