This conference was held offline and online.
Told about the role of radio in the development of education
Dr. Rashmi, through her research paper, explained the role of radio in the development of education in India. In India, “Radio” is working on information and communication technology in the field of education. Towards education, educational radio programs and thematic programs by various educational institutions of India are becoming synonymous with teachers for distance education. In the present perspective, youth have options of educational institutions in the form of radio, web radio, online radio and podcasting, which are working to educate them by giving them information on various subjects.
In this research paper, many programs in Vidya Vani programs broadcast by Akashvani Kanpur have been prepared for education by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji University Kanpur under the RUSA project, which benefited those students who are unable to get institutional education. . Similarly, radio has made a significant contribution in the form of information and communication technology in distance education through community radio, podcasting, radio web portals etc. all over India.
In this research paper, Dr. Rashmi Gautam has mentioned various educational institutions of India such as IIT Kanpur, IIT Pune, Chennai, Anna Radio, Apna Radio etc., which prepare, write and present radio programs to their students while providing thematic information. They also provide practical training.
It has also been mentioned in this research paper that apart from being a mass medium, radio is also playing the role of a teacher. This is the reason why radio was used for the successful implementation of government programs like ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ and ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ in India and the level of education in the 2011 census was about 76 percent. Radio channels like Prasar Bharati’s Gyan Vani played an important role in this.
Dr. Rashmi Gautam Prof. Under the direction of Ramesh Chandra Tripathi (Former Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication), she has done PhD in 2011 from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Lucknow on the topic “Critical study of women’s programs aired on Doordarshan”. From 2004 to 2009, Dr. Rashmi Gautam did teaching work in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Lucknow University. He received the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Award in 2005 for conducting excellent research smoothly, conducted by the University Grants Commission.
Dr. Rashmi Gautam Bhaskar has been working as a teacher in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi from the year 2009 to 2011. Since 2011, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University is continuously working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kanpur. He has presented research papers in various national and international conferences. Dr. Rashmi hails from a small village of Auraiya. He brought laurels to his parents and teachers by his hard work and diligence.
