Union Minister Giriraj Singh made a statement a day ago about Nathuram Godse. Giriraj described Godse as the ‘son’ of India and said that Mahatma Gandhi’s killer was not an aggressor like Mughal rulers Babur and Aurangzeb, because he was born in India.

The former Union minister said, the killers cannot be separated from their origin. Sibal hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would condemn Singh’s statement. Talking to reporters in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada town, Singh had said that those who take pleasure in calling themselves the children of Babur and Aurangzeb cannot be true sons of Mother India.
