Indian players selected for WTC Final (WTC Final 2023) including Ajinkya Rahane, KS Bharat, Shubman Gill have reached London today. Although these players were to come to London on May 29, but due to rain during the final of IPL 2023 (IPL 2023) on May 28, it was delayed. While Gill, Moh Shami and Bharat played for Gujarat in the IPL, Rahane and Jadeja played for Chennai Super Kings. Both these teams had reached the finals of IPL 2023, due to which there was delay in reaching the players of these teams. And Bharat and Rahane confirmed their arrival in London.
With the Indian team complete for the WTC final, head coach Rahul Dravid will conduct a full training session. Whereas Akshar Patel along with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Siraj, Shardul Thakur participated in the first session. In this warm-up session, Kohli and Rohit had a lot of batting practice, while Akshar Patel, Shardul Thakur and Mo Siraj had a bowling session at the Oval.
Rahul Dravid wants the players to get into Test match rhythm ahead of the mega finale against Australia. India will not play any warm-up matches ahead of the WTC final starting June 7.
